ELECTRIC GUITARS
1960's Danelectro Vincent Bell Bellzouki ..........Model
7010, 12 string electric guitar. This is a cool instrument in very good
vintage condition with a good bit of weather checking in the finish and
normal play wear for an almost 50 year old instrument. The
exception is that there is a chip out of the bridge(see the closeup
pic) where the slots for 2 of the strings are missing. The
fix(es) would be replacing the bridge(obviously), cutting 2 new slots
in the existing bridge, or simply playing it as a 6 string(or a 10
string!). This guitar appears fully original otherwise. The
Bellzouki has a place in guitar history as the first mass produced
electric 12 string guitar, predating Rickenbacker's famous 12 string
models. Designed by Vincent Bell, with his raised logo on the
body, this instrument features the famous Danelectro "lipstick" single
coil pickup and a "teardrop" shaped body in tan to brown sunburst
finish. The body is built on a Poplar frame with 1/8 inch
masonite covering. The reinforced, bolt-on Maple neck has a
Brazilian Rosewood fretboard with an aluminum nut and dot
markers. The bridge is the typical Dano chrome steel
plate(adjustable for height) with a Rosewood saddle. The
electronics consist of the single “lipstick tube” single
coil pickup, a 3-way tone selection switch, a master volume, and a
master tone control. One on-line review(a comparison test between
electric 12 strings (including Rickenbacker & the Fender XII)
said: "The neck profile on the Bellzouki is nicely oval and the
fingerboard radius quite flat. The nut width is also wider than
any of the other guitars in this comparison which, when combined with
the 24 1/2 inch scale length, makes playing a bit easier while not
being a chore as on some acoustic 12-string guitars. The lipstick
tube pickup yields a wonderfully complex sound. It’s
bright, but it doesn’t jangle the eardrums and nerves quite as
much as the other models. The tone control toggle’s effect
on the guitar’s sound is subtle and does not provide much tone
shaping. The master tone knob is more effective. With only
one pickup, the Dano is the least versatile of the bunch, but the rich
sound more than makes up for any shortcoming in that area.
It’s amazing that a guitar so “cheap” can sound so
very good." A good used gig bag is included...........SOLD
Danelectro Silvertone U1 Black..........Model
1417 electric guitar, same model as the Danelectro U1, in the
Black finish. This vintage instrument appears to be 100%
original and is in very good to excellent vintage condition, with some
edge wear and scratches, but less than expected wear for a nearly 50
year old instrument. The
serial number dates 1960 and the one pot you can see the code on is
24th week of 1960. Included is a recent used chipboard case.
The description from the 1960 Sears Catalog: "Thin
steel-reinforced necks make fingering easier for you. Single
Pickup Guitar. Modern headpiece. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Solid
center body. Adjustable bridge.Tone and volume controls plus tone
switch." Specs include the famed 3/8" thick Masonite body with a
poplar frame comprising the sides/neck/bridge blocks, the single
"lipstick" pick up, "dolphin" headstock, raised Silvertone logo, three
way "tone" switch, and tone & volume controls. One expert
says, "These guitars sound rich and multi-dimensional, yet quite twangy
and lively - completely unlike the popular Korean reissue
Danelectros." Famous musicians from Eric Clapton to Jimmy Page to
Elvis Costello, and many more have all used Danelectro guitars at some
point. This Danelectro-made Silvertone would make a great
addition to any vintage guitar collection............$699
Danelectro Silvertone U1 Copper..........Model
1417 electric guitar, same model as the Danelectro U1, in the
Bronze(Copper) finish. This vintage instrument appears to be 100%
original and is in very good to excellent vintage condition, with some
neck wear and scratches, but less than expected wear for a nearly 50
year old instrument. Please see all the pics below. The
serial number dates 1960. Included is a good used gig bag.

Fender American Vintage Series '62 Jaguar..........
Reissue in the rare and no longer available Dakota Red nitrocellulose
laquer finish(only offered in the Fender catalog on this model from
July 1999 to 2002). Includes the original deluxe Fender brown
tolex hardshell case with vintage gold interior, Fender paperwork, trem
arm, and even the cover for the bridge. Fender says about this
model, "As the distinctive early-’60s offspring of the equally
distinctive Jazzmaster® guitar, the Jaguar guitar became an
enduring favorite that has successfully spanned many decades and
genres, be it ’60s surf, ’70s punk, ’80s new wave,
’90s grunge and beyond ...This Fender design classic paired
brighter pickups with a shorter (24”) scale length. The trio of
sliding pickup selector switches, rotary volume wheels on the upper
bout, and chrome hardware and tremolo lock are all signature Jaguar
traits, and the removable Fender Mute is a built-in string-damping
device created with surf bands in mind."
This guitar is in exceptionally fine condition with a a few light
surface indents/scratches & 2 tiny dings on the back, the top in
near mint shape, and the neck with one very light indent. All
very minor stuff - it looks, sounds, and plays great. The new
list price on the USA '62 Jaguar is $2,360.00 and it sells for
$1,889.99 at the big box stores and internet discounters(and you can't
get it in this cool, rare Dakota Red finish) ..........$1,349.00
Fender American Standard Telecaster..........
Crimson Red Transparent finish over a beautifully grained Ash body(a
$190.00 list price option). This was the first year for the new
American Standard Telecaster having been introduced by Fender in
January 2008. Included is an upgrade of the case to the
top-of-the-line Fender deluxe black tolex hardshell case with plush
lined interior(sells for $139.99 at the internet discounters). Please
see all the pics below - the Crimson Red finish is darker than I was
able to show in the pics of this instrument so I added the last pic - a
stock picture from the Fender website to give you an idea of the true
color of this guitar. Fender describes it this way, "The new
American Standard Telecaster still has the hand-rolled fingerboard
edges, alnico V pickups and staggered tuning machines for playability,
tone and stability, and now includes great new features including:
* A new bridge with improved bent-steel saddles mounted to a stamped-brass bridge plate for increased resonance and sustain.
* A new neck treatment—tinted for a richer presentation, with the
Rosewood fingerboard buffed to a high gloss. The back of the neck still
has that silky, comfortable satin finish.
* A thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance."
The tuners on this Tele have been upgraded to deluxe locking tuners -
same as the tuners on the American Deluxe model & with no
modification to the headstock. Other features include Master
Volume & Master Delta Tone™ controls(“Delta Tone”
system includes high output bridge pickup and special No-Load tone
control), sharper ‘52 style body radius, modern “C”
shape Maple neck/Rosewood fretboard, 3-ply black pickguard, Bi-Flex
truss rod, and 22 Medium Jumbo Frets. This instrument is in near
mint condition with just a some extremely light surface scratches
you have to hold close and turn in the light to see. The new list
on this model is $1,779.99 with a discounted price at the big box
stores and websites of $1,349.99 - add the upgraded locking
tuners($74.99) and deluxe case($139.99) and it would cost $1,564.97 to
duplicate this guitar new ..........SOLD
1997 Fender Lonestar Stratocaster ..........Cool
and no longer available Teal Green Metallic finish. This Lone
Star Strat model was produced by Fender USA from 1996 to 2000, after
which it was renamed the American Fat Strat Texas Special and finally
discontinued in 2003. This Corona, California, USA made Lone Star
Strat is NOT to be confused with the current Mexican-made model of the
same name. Features 2 Texas Special pickups and a Seymour Duncan Pearly
Gates humbucker at the bridge, a modern “C” shape Maple
neck(Satin Polyurethane finish), Fender/Schaller deluxe cast/sealed
tuning machines, Maple neck/fretboard with dot markers, and white
pearloid pickguard and backplate. The American 2-Point
synchronized tremolo with stainless steel saddles. Has been
upgraded with a coil tap for the humbucker - a push push tone knob.

up and plays and sounds fantastic. Includes a Fender molded hardshell
case. The new list on the current "comparable" American Series
Stratocaster HSS model lists for $1,589.99 and it DOESN'T have the the
higher end pickups, the push-push coil tap, nor is the beautiful Teal
Green Metallic finish available...........$749
Fender Joe Strummer Telecaster.........."Worn
Finish" with deluxe Fender hardshell case. This instrument is
brand new, taken out of the box just to inspect and photograph(I'm not
a Fender dealer so there's no warranty). From Fender: "The
legacy of Joe Strummer (1952-2002) continues to live on, grow louder
and shake up the establishment with the release of the Joe Strummer
Telecaster, modeled after some of the beat up and battle-hardened
Telecaster guitars (especially his famous '66 model) he wielded as
leader of “the only band that matters”—seminal Brit
punk commando unit the Clash. Designed in cooperation with the
Strummer estate, the guitar has a “Revolution Rock”
engraved neckplate and a highly distressed “road-worn”
treatment that emulates the worn-to-the-wood layers of gray auto primer
and flat black spray paint that Strummer famously used. The first 1,500
of these special guitars also featured a limited edition art
customization kit with Strummer-inspired stencils, stickers and
graphics by designer Shepard Fairey. Specs include: Alder
body with worn finish, C-shape maple neck with gloss polyurethane
finish, Rosewood fingerboard, 7.25" radius, 21 vintage style frets, 2
single coil Tele pickups with Alnico magnets, Vintage style tuning
machines, Vintage style 3-saddle Tele bridge with string thru body,
Distressed chrome hardware, Volume and Tone knobs with 3-way pickup
switch, 3-ply mint green pickguard, 25.5" scale, Revolution Rock
neckplate. This Artist Series Tele is apparently no longer
produced by Fender - it had a new list of $1,500.00 and was
advertised at $1,199.99 by the big internet discounters...........$749
2000 Epiphone Moderne..........
Gloss Natural finish over Korina. This rare model was only
produced in the year 2000 at the Korean plant that twice won ‘The
Best Quality Award of the Year’ by Gibson Epiphone USA - one web
source says(don't know if it's true) that only 300 of these were
produced. This Epiphone Moderne is a reproduction of the famous
Gibson Moderne designed in 1957 but apparently never produced until
Gibson "reisued" it briefly in the early '80s, and not seen again until
this small production run by Epiphone in 2000. Features include
the sharkfin/half V shaped Korina body, a set-in neck with a 22 fret
Rosewood fretboard, stoptail piece with tuneomatic bridge, two
Gibson-designed humbucker pickups with a volume control for each and a
master tone control, a 3-way pickup selector switch, white pickguard
with "Moderne" logo, "Gumby" headstock with raised Epiphone logo &
4 string guides, vintage style tuners with "aged" keystone buttons, and
gold hardware. Included in the auction is the Epiphone hardshell case
pictured. A couple of comments from owners on the web:
"This is a guitar I wouldn't part with. I love rare guitars and thanks
to Epiphone I got a version of the rarest model ever made or NOT made,
however you look at it." and "I've always wanted a Moderne guitar, but
since the original Gibsons are expensive collector guitars I (thought
I'd) never have one. When I found this, I knew I had to have this
guitar...it plays GREAT!! This example is in exceptionally fine
condition with very little play wear and would make a great additon to
any collection - plus it's lightweight, plays great, and sounds good so
it would also make a great every day player.............SOLD
1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Run..........Candy
Apple Red top and gold hardware. According to Gibson, this model was an
upgraded Standard for 1993 with the cool finish, gold hardware, and -
rare for the Standard model - an Ebony fretboard! Included is the
original deluxe Gibson brown hardshell case with interior
"blanket". Features of this model include the single cutaway
Mahogany body with a bound carved Maple top, cream color binding on the
top and fretboard, what appears to be a one piece Mahogany neck, smooth
Ebony fretboard with trapezoid inlays, gold hardware, Gibson Deluxe
tuners with vintage-style "green" keystone buttons, gold "speed" knobs,
Tune-o-matic bridge, and stopbar tailpiece. The "Standard"
electronics consist of two covered humbucker pickups with volume &
tone controls for each and a 3-way pickup selector
switch. This instrument is in very good condition with some
very minor surface scratches and a few indents on the top that you see
when you turn it in the light - the color is still vibrant. The back
has some belt buckle rash mostly in the clear finish. Considering
it's 16 years old the gold hardware has relatively light wear/tarnish
and there's only minor fretwear - No cracks, breaks, or issues, and
fully original! It plays exceptionally well with nice low action,
looks cool, and sounds great............. SOLD
2005 Gibson Les Paul Special Faded..........Faded Black finish - This
Faded Series version features Gibson humbuckers. The body & neck
are Mahogany, with a 1960's Slim Taper neck shape and a 22 fret

1980 Gibson 335-S Firebrand Custom..........This
was Gibson's solid-body version of their popular semi-hollow ES-335TD.
Although it's a similar shape, it's actually smaller and thinner, but
with the same scale. Here's how Gibson described it when it was
introduced in mid 1980: "Gibsons new 335-S Series combines a
familiar shape with the playability and sustain of other legendary
Gibson solid bodies. Shaped much like a diminutive ES-335, these double
cutaway instruments allow players added sustain capabilities due to
increased body mass and density. The Custom version of the 335-S
utilizes the unmatched power of Gibsons "Dirty Fingers" pickups with a
coil tap switch mounted in a sculptured mahogany body. The three-piece
mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and
corresponding side dots. Gibsons incredible TP-6 tailpiece insures
fine-tuning capabilties with fingertip ease. An outstanding Natural
Mahogany finish tops this high energy instrument." This model
disappeared from Gibson price lists by June 1982, so it was only
available for less than two years. Other specs include a three
piece mahogany neck, a nut width of 1 11/16", pearloid Gibson logo
tuners, and the standard Gibson 24 3/4" scale length. This
particular instrument appears fully original - check the pristine
controls cavity(the 3 pots I could read date 1980, plus there is a
"1980" stamp you can see in the cavity). It has play wear, not a
relic, but numerous (mostly)surface scratches/indents and belt buckle
rash some of which doesn't show up in the pics - NO breaks,
cracks, or repairs. The frets are still in very good shape and it
plays very, very well. The original Dirty Fingers humbucker
pickups, which are among the most powerful ever produced by the Gibson
folks, sound great.............SOLD
2007 Gibson USA Les Paul DC Pro..........Root
Beer finish over a beautiful AAA flame Maple top(please check all the
pics below). Included is the original Gibson black reptile
pattern hardshell case with white plush lining and brown leather pull
tab on the accessory compartment. This is the second version of the Les
Paul Pro DC model and was only offered by Gibson in 2006 &
2007. The advantages of this instrument over a "regular" Les Paul
include the phenomenally rich tone of the BurstBucker Pro pickups,
better upper fret access, and much lighter weight at 7 lbs 13 ozs -
plus this guitar has unusually good resonance unplugged which results
in a beter "plugged-in" sound. The specs include the bound AAA
flame Maple top with the desired narrow binding in the cutaways,
Mahogany back, a '60s slim-taper Mahogany set neck, 22 fret Rosewood
fretboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays, 24.75 inch scale, chrome
hardware, Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, amber top hat knobs,
Gibson deluxe tuners with "aged" keystone buttons, pearloid crown
headstock inlay, and BurstBucker Pro pickups with single volume and
tone controls plus a three way selector switch. This instrument
is in excellent condition with just some very light surface
scratches/tiny indents(none of which will show up in the pics) you have
to turn in the light to see. The original owner's manual, factory
checklist, and truss rod tool are included, as well as the original
strap buttons which were upgraded to a more substantial
pair............$1,399
2002 Paul Reed Smith CE 22..........Cool
gloss Purple finish over a carved, nicely flamed Maple top. The CE 22
model is no longer available from Paul Reed Smith. It has the
Wide Fat neck carve that according to the PRS website is "only
available on 22 fret models, has the same nut width as the Wide Thin
neck but has a big comfortable profile, similar to our Regular neck.
Because of its strength and longer 'heel', the Wide Fat neck produces
warm tones with lots of sustain." Overall this instrument is in very nice condition with nice flame in the top and great color.
There are some mostly tiny surface indents and a few very light surface
scratches that really don't show up in the pics, but absolutely no belt
buckle rash. The action is excellent, it plays very well as
you'd expect, and sounds great with the Dragon II pickups. PRS
said about this model, "The CE 22 has a slightly shorter, stiffer neck
and the full tone of our 22 fret models. Add our Dragon II pickups and
you have a guitar with a quality of tone and playability far in excess
of its price tag." This instrument is factory equipped with
covered Dragon II Pickups(stock on Custom 22s, CE 22s and Standard
22s). In the bridge position is the Dragon II Treble: an alnico
pickup with McCarty like tones and a little more output. In the
neck is the Dragon II Bass: a rich bass position humbucker with enough
output and clarity for any style of playing. The controls consist
of Master Volume and Master Tone controls and the 5-way Rotary switch
for both single coil & humbucker tones. Other original
features include: the patented PRS Tremolo System with push-in
arm, black "speed" knobs, rock Maple neck, 22 fret Rosewood fretboard
having abalone dot inlays, satin black headstock finish, and PRS
locking tuners. The original PRS black hardshell case(in great shape)
is included along with Dunlop straplocks..............SOLD

Japan in the 1970's. Features include a Spruce top, Mahogany back &

headstock "Epiphone" inlay, adjustable bridge, and bolt on neck.
The nut width is 1 and 3/4". This guitar is in exceptional condition
for a 30+ year old instrument and appears fully original. There
are some surface indents/scratches but nothing major, and very little
play wear - frets and fretboard are in great condition. Very clean
all around, no problems, and it sounds great! These vintage
high-quality Japanese made instruments are getting harder to find, but
you can get this cool collectible guitar for less than the price of a
new Chinese made Epiphone or Guild with similar features.
Included is a padded gig bag in good condition ..........$199
Guild GAD-40C..........High
Gloss Natural finish. This model is no longer produced, but
here's what Guild had to say about it, "The Guild GAD-40C was designed
utilizing a body shape that is the most popular acoustic body shape in
the world and has been used for over 70 years. To accommodate modern
playing styles, we added a Venetian cut-a-way for ease in reaching the
higher registers of the guitar. We use solid Mahogany for the back and
sides, a solid spruce top that features scalloped bracing, and then
joined the one piece mahogany neck with the traditional dovetail neck
joint. For other appointments on the GAD-40C we used Indian
Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. We continued the use of
high quality tone woods by featuring ebony for the pearl dot inlayed
bridge and strap pins, then added wood bindings, and Grover Rotomatic
tuning gears. For the best in tone and intonation, we installed a bone
nut and bone compensated saddle. For the finishing touches we inlayed
classic pearl fingerboard inlays and then pack the instrument in a
wooden arched case." Here's what some owners on the web had to
say about the GAD-40C: "I spent 3 months trying a lot of very
expensive guitars, and still can not believe this guitar sounds and
plays this good. This was the best guitar I could find under $1000, and
it had the most features." and "...it was between 4 guitars: The Guild
GAD-40, Taylor 710ce, Alvarez MD-90, and a Gibson Working man's
J-45....in the end the Guild won out for no other reason than the tone
was nearly exactly what I want to hear." and "I found three(acoustics)
that had the sound I was looking for. The Larrivee D03, the Taylor 310,
and the Guild GAD40C. They all seemed very close in sound...Bottom line
is that the Guild had the sound I was looking for, included all the
extras, and was a lower price than the others." This instrument
is in overall excellent condition with just some very light surface
indents/scratches you have to hold close and turn in the light to see -
looks new from a few feet away! It plays very well and sounds
great. Included in the auction is the Guild Deluxe hardshell
case, case keys, and truss rod tool.............SOLD
BASS
1988 Fender American Vintage ‘57 Precision Bass Reissue..........Gloss
Black nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which is no longer offered by
Fender on this model. The penciled neck date is "10-25-88" -
according to Gruhn's book the body wood was changed to Alder in 1989 so
this would be one of the last of the original Ash body reissues in a
solid color. This instrument is in a light "relic" condition
having a significant amount of actual play wear(not simulated at the
factory). The frets are in very good shape but there are
dings/indents/scratches - keep in mind that this is a 21 year old bass
and has become, in its own right, a "vintage" bass. Please check
out the pics below. Included is the original Fender tweed covered
hardshell case. Fender says about this exceptional bass, "Since its
introduction in 1951, the Fender Precision Bass guitar has dramatically
influenced the way we play and hear music. In the booming half-century
since, the Precision has affected almost every imaginable genre of
popular music. Our American Vintage ’57 Precision Bass pays
tribute to this landmark instrument with accurate detailing, including
electronics and hardware — from the split single-coil pickups to
the vintage tuning machines and nitrocellulose lacquer finish. A true
Fender classic." Other specs include an Alder body, Maple
“C” shape neck, Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish(body &
neck), Maple fretboard with 7.25” Radius & 20 Vintage Style
Frets, a ‘57 Precision Bass Split Single-Coil Pickup, Volume
& Tone controls, Vintage Style reverse tuning machines, Synthetic
Bone Nut, Nickel/Chrome hardware, and Gold Anodized Aluminum pickguard.
This cool looking bass plays very well with that legendary P-Bass tone,
and it's in the cool and no longer available Black nitro finish.
With a new list of $2,450.00 and a big box/internet discount price of
$1,959.99, we've priced this one to sell...........SOLD
1990 Fender USA Precision Bass Plus..........Beautiful
and rare Blue Pearl Burst finish with the original Fender molded
hardshell case. Designed by George Blanda, who was the senior
designer at Fender during that period, this is one of the first
American-made Fender basses to feature a 22 fret neck. This
required Blanda to slightly redesign the body shape for balance, and
deepen the cutaways for access, giving it a distinct but still
unmistakably Fender appearance. Other features included a solid premium
Alder body, a one piece Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard, Schaller
deluxe die-cast tuning machines, 3-ply white pickguard, and Schaller
Elite fine-tuning bridge. The unique electronics consist of Silver Lace
Sensor pickups - Precision-style in the middle position and Jazz-style
at the bridge, a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch, a master volume
control & master TBX tone control, and a series/parallel push-push
button for the neck pickup(much like the current S-1 switching).
Please check out all the pics below. This bass has an N9 serial
number as you can see in the pic but it's a 1990 model, as this model
was only produced from 1989 to 1994............SOLD
Fender Sting Precision Bass..........Sunburst finish. Description from Fender: "From chart-topping '80s world domination in the Police to his prolific
and musically adventurous solo career, Sting has always brought the
bass out front with his forceful combination of four-string muscle and
finesse. His namesake ’50s-style Precision Bass features a
vintage-style single-coil pickup, contoured body with 2-Color Sunburst
finish and the King of Pain's signature in the block pearl inlay at the
12th fret." Upgraded with a Seymour Duncan Baselines pickup and Badass Bass III bridge. Includes a gig bag............$649
